"The Hunted Witch" - Euphonium and Brass Band
“The Hunted Witch” is a musical depiction of the last death throes of a witch. The piece offers the soloist challenging special effects, such as pedal tones, trills and multiphonics. The pianist is instructed to play the middle section on a cajón, although the rhythms can alternatively be knocked on the piano fallboard.
This showpiece was originally composed for Tenor horn and Piano/Cajón, dedicated to the 10-year old Florian Rademacher Krogsæter and his mentor Stijn Berbé.
